I want to know if I can remove the major fan leaves on this snowryder. What are the positive and negative effects?
Yes or no?
Side note: it has about 12 days left till its ready I'm guessing, though it might be sooner or later.

The leaves use the energy to fuel the stalk and small fan leaves of the stems that produce your actual bud. Even fans leaves with deficiency the heatlhy part will still collect the enenrgy and produce growth, I would not touch a thing, let the plant age graceful you will get a couple extra grams in those 12 days by leaving the plant alone. If you want to have your plant look better without the dead leaves you could trim and would not hurt, but if you want that little bit extra leave em' be. Nice plant btw, don't forget to leave her in the dark for a couple days before harvest! +rep!
leave it be, looks like it may have had a rough time already and you don't have that many healthy looking leaves left to be removing any mate, also 12days is a little on the optimistic side looking at it, I'd add a little cal/mag and keep it going for atleast another couple of weeks and then maybe post some pics up and see how far off you are mate

NONONONONONONO. The leaves are there for a fucking reason, if they're not dead, don't remove them.
Thanks y'all for the help. As for the deficiency.....I'm just going to use water from this stage and hope it'll level things out.

thats exactly what i had on my first auto grow and its like an orange/gold crust. its calcium defficiency and u can try help the plant with cal/mag, if youve still got a couple weeks left, coz it will keep killing off ur fan leaves. Ive got a tub of J. Arthur Bowers Garden lime for my next grow, it has both calcium and magnesium and u pre-mix it with the soil, plus it keeps pH at around neutral. Good luck, i hope she gets thru it!
So I need calcium and magnesium. Time to get to work! Thanks lowblower.
