1 and 2 are right.
3.Most autos only grow to a few feet tall, they will rarely grow any taller due to the short life cycle.
4.Give them half nutes for the first half of the grow, and increase nutes if you feel your plants can take it. If you give them full strength from the start you will most likely burn them. I would recommend using organic nutrients with auto plants such as the Biobizz range.

4. Plants almost always get half the nutes when they are small because they cant handle it. When they are bigger you give them normal nutrients just like any other plant.

1. yes, but some extra nitrogen towards the beginning of their life for leafy growth would be suggested, some say feed only flowering nutrients but we should still look at cannabis ruderalis as a plant, they all need nitrogen for leaves, branches, etc.
2.yes, 18/6 or 20/4 are usually what people leaves them on, some do 24/0 but many believe this stresses them to some extent.
3.yes and no, check out secret garden's ogre(thanks to corso for showin me this one), mi5, onyx or blue himalaya diesel from short stuff are said to yield well and get bigger than a foot, or mdanzig's sour 60 or quixter are said to yield well, of course lighting and pot size, as well as many other conditions will come into play, growin them in hydro is always faster and better as far as yield goes. autos are starting to become really popular so we should be seeing more high yielding autos in the future, semi autos may be a better choice for you if you wanna have the choice to veg them for a few weeks, then drop them down to 14/10 to force flower. rcmcollective.ca has many of these strains, as does dr.greenthumb but his iranian short season is said to be a pheno out of guerrilla gold, or GG as they call it on rcmc.
4. i dont know about that, i would slowly move up your nutrient values, just keep an eye out for burns 30-45 minutes after watering, synthetic nutrients are readily available to them so they react quickly. i myself use a mix of both organic and synthetic to keep them well fed, leaving less of a chance of salt buildup as well as burns.

True, though you don't have to put ANY plants through a veg cycle.
Ordinary plants grown 12-12 from seed will start to flower when sexually mature, typically at about 3-4 weeks of age.
So will autoflowers, though they will flower under ANY light regimen.

You certainly can do that if you like, and this is one of the most popular ways to grow them.
Some people prefer 20/4 from seed to harvest.
You can even do 24/0 if you like.

While there are a few that may grow larger, this is true of most autoflowers.
If they are truly autoflowering, they won't get old enough to get too tall before flowering is done.

4. You give them half the nutes of a regular plant.

They take the same nutes as any other similarly sized flowering plant.
Actually, since they're getting more hours per day of light during flowering than typical photo plants do, you can probably get away with a little MORE nutes.
But in any case, no, there is no need to reduce nutrient supply.
