The other thing I have read is that when temps are in that low to mid 80 range, that introducing some CO2 helps the plants deal with the higher temps. Just a thought if you didn't want to spend the money on the inline fan, maybe a C02 bag or something to that effect will help.
Also I want to clarify something I wrote above. I leave one side of my closet door open when I have the light on. During the dark cycle, I am able to close both sides of the closet without my temps rising, and I attribute this to the 4" inline fan I have taking hot air out of the closet.
