Afghan Kush Ryder
So this is my first auto, i got a feminized afghan kush ryder seed from single seed centre, put it to germinate 2 days ago, i saw the root coming out if the shell yesterday and put it in the soil. Today i see the very tip popping out so were all good so far, ive got under a 55 watt cfl for now, gonna change to hps for flowering, and in a 3 gallon pot, i was just wondering what pointers i can get to ensure maximum yield and density?

I just need to know what u would reccoment for high yield and density, what i have doesnt matter for now, either way ill probably change my methods according to what info i can get to get the high yield and density
Hey I am germinating akr right now also. World of seeds suggests a 20/4 light/dark cycle. Any other information on growing will be found in other forum pages. Personally, I suggest 3-5 gallon pots and I use fox farms ocean forest soil with the trio pack of ff nutes. However, there is so many different options when it comes to mediums and nutes you should really do quite a bit of research. As far as yield goes, I would suggest you use a 5 gallon pot and just follow a good schedule when feeding and watering it. Autoflowering plants are quick hitters so even the most experienced growers can only get a max yield of about 2-2.5 ounces. However, the beginner shouldn't expect much more then 1-1.5 ounces. This entirely depends on a variety of elements such as light lumen, temperature, and humidity. Lastly, look into providing your plants extra CO2 if you want to increase your yield to the max.
I germinated on monday, and i planted on wednesday. The first pick is on friday, the second was on thursday, and the third is today, its my first auto so can anyone tell me if the brownish dark bottom of the stem is normal? Sorry about the jumbled up pics!!

keep the light close. the temperature as close to 70 - 75F. constantly keep the air moving. Don't even feed it(fertilizer), if this is your first grow.

Spray the seed shell with water with a mister REALLY good and CAREFULLY remove it with tweezers if it's still on. I've done it at 3 days old. Having it on delays the seedling. Stems always look weird young. It hasn't developed.

I got the light about 5 inchs aways and a fan on at all times, also just removed the seed so were looking good! its my first auto grow, thanks for the advice!
AKRV.jpgUpdate on the afghan kush ryder now at 19 days from germination, starting to develop faster now, just ordered some bat guano fertilizer and just recieved my 1000 hps light so im ready for this auto to do its thing hopefully within the next 3 to 4 weeks
