3 x 3 Grow Tent 400 HPS Autoflower Multistrain

No adjusting just straight from the tap. I assume it gets higher in alkalinity the longer I let it sit out. Just straight from the tap I think it's around 7.5 ph. I was having more issues when I was lowering my water ph than leaving it be. I suppose a higher alkalinity is preferable to a lower ph in soil. Next time I'll be using some dolomite lime as a buffer and I might whip up a batch of Subcool's Super Soil. I'm hoping to get paid soon so I can get my meters and some new beans for next time. I believe the FFOF has a ph buffer that wears off after about five weeks so I need to get the ball rolling on that.

Well I'll just say those issues in that old thread of mine I'm pretty sure were caused by water straight from the tap no phing and if your adding nutes the littlest bit can drop ur water to like 3 or 4 pH. Once I started testing and adjusting it made all the difference in the world cause once that soil has been waterd so many times with high or low ph it's hard to regulate it back to a safe zone.

I agree with your logic. I don't need to be watering my plants with acid water and nutes. These drop tests are fucking worthless when trying to test solutions. I'm going to spend the cash on a $80 ph meter and a ppm pen when I have it. When I set my tent back up I'm putting in about 200 watts of CFL for the hell of it. I'm tired of this low-yielding semi-haggard crap. Hopefully I can get a little over a 1/2 ounce each from these plants.

I think the Water change will do wonders and the extra light doesn't hurt.

Man.. it took me all day but I got that fucker set back up. Doing it alone was awful but at least it's over with. I threw in about 200 watts of 2700K CFL's for good measure. I hung my light with speaker wire and ran out of duct tape but I'm finally finished. Wires and zip ties are everywhere, duct tape was recycled and lots of electrical tape was used lol.

I hung the lid to my old Rubbermaid grow over my cool tube and attached all my CFL's to it. It's pretty haggard but I like the new light spectrum. It's bright as fuck in that som' bitch. I reckon there's at least 70,000 lumens in this tent at the moment. Stretch now you stupid plants...

Yeah the rig is pretty legit. It took me at least half a day hooking it up alone. I'm considering buying a smaller 3' x 20'' x 5' tent to slap in the corner. I reckon it's a $300 investment that will pay of infinitely and I've got a photoperiod plant I want to clone to use it for. I haven't tried cloning before and if I can get in a run at 12/12 with free clones that's a good idea economically. I'm really wanting to make my own seed. I figure the easiest way would be to take a non-feminized variety, grow out the female and leave a few lower buds to fester under a CFL somewhere until they seed themselves. BAM, feminized seeds. I'm going to have to get some beans from Attitude eventually. If I can get ahold of a few hundred feminized Pineapple Express, etc. seeds there's no stopping me.
