Eyes: It sounds like you bought a used one and hopefully not an abused one, and if you're new to this, go to A/G's website and read everything they offer on line. See what they do, how they do it and for the first couple of crops go with their program before you start trying to modify it. If you follow their lead it's practically idiot proof. When you follow their directions to the letter it's really hard to fail. If you get in a jamb call their free customer service 800 number and they'll be happy to help you. Just tell them you're growing tomatoes. I hope that helps. HSA

Are you talking about one of those bean sprouter things that they put bressel sprouts in ?

Eyes: I guess you could say that. Probably more than some and less than others. I've got three upgraded seven holes, "Classics,"and one A/G-3 in the kitchen that I grow culinary herbs in for my wife. I got my first "Classic" model as a Christmas gift from a friend about seven or eight years ago when they were still trying to sell them from infomercials on late night TV. I only grew their herbs for the first six months or so until I was sure I knew what the hell I was doing. During that time I also researched everything I could find on our favorite herb Then I figured if I could grow herbs for my wife why couldn't I grow my own meds?

I found I could get a crop of personal meds out of one in 3 to 4 months but then there was down time between crops so I bought a second one and staggered the grows. The third one, in conjunction with the other two, has kept me well supplied for about the last five years. They're fun and a great way to learn about hydroponics. I haven't had to go back to the dispensary since.

The only problem in any kind of hydroponics is that it's work, and the last day off you had was the day before you started your present grow. The tiny reservoir makes it even more extreme because things can happen real fast. I hope that helps. HSA

can i ask what nutes you have tried?
mine didnt come with any seeds so i went straight in with 2 bag seed just to try its probably been 2 and a half weeks since i poped em in and they are still only an inch tall and trying to grow out some proper leaves under 24 hour light for the next 3 days then ima go 12/12 to speed things along as this is just for me to see how this thing works

Im using XNUTRIENTS with pleasing results, very user friendly. I sent them an e-mail asking for samples and they sent me GROW/MICRO/ and BLOOM. Enough for 2-3 grows min.

I am using the AG also. One GDP clone, one Extreme Blue Dream from seed, and one Kobe Og from seed. I didn't think of it when i started but it was a bad idea "seeds/clones on different growth weeks", but I just keep trimming and multi-topping the clone untill the others catch up. The clone is 8" and both seeds at 3 1/2"-4". So about a week to a week and a half to catch up. With the AG there is a tendecy for root rot. I was given a sample of "organics insect frass" and it fixed my root rot issue and they have completley returned to growing istead of fighting root rot. By using Insect frass I also found out it's making my seed plants grow a massive amout of roots compared to beforeI used it. I would take a pic but i'm not bright flashing my roots.
