Ive wondered if the aerogarden is capable of lowering flowering times as well....

I think tho that it would mostly depend on the strain and the amount of light given to it....maybe even the nutes...

But I dont think it could shorten the flowering time by more than a week.....but I could be wrong...

In a word, no. Flowering time is genetic.

That said, there may be some evidence that doing this or that may shorten maturity by a few days. Using CO2 enrichment may shorten it a little. and a PK Boost in the first week of flowering may cause her to induce quicker, and using the aerogarden will make growers think they can change the world.

So, in a word, no. Flowering time is genetic.

couldnt there be a way to fool the plant into thinking that winter is coming faster, not by using the aerogarden, but actually changing the genetics of the plant to fool it into seeing winter coming faster. this seems about as possible as anything, like reduce the flower time to about 5 weeks instead of 8-9. that would be amazing and i would totally buy that strain

Its like trying to make a baby grow into an adult faster than normal....

YOu'd have to really fuck with their genetics or pump em full of steroids theyre whole life....And if you did all this you'd probobly have an adult sized baby in a couple years but I'm willing to bet that that baby is going to be all fucked up and won't be any good....

I saw the aerogarden on the Today show this morning and am very encouraged by the posts on this topic.

It seems that the lid on the aerogarden is pretty low. What happens when your plants get too tall for the garden? Is this a problem?
