has anyone ever had this problem b4 ? ive got 4 plants all on the back of the aerogarden and there roots are getting wrapped inside the water pump area there going straight thru that filter square lol . i know i know 4 plants are to many but i figured 2 of them are only gonna be females rite ? ok now do u think i can just get the old scissors out ?

I had this happen to me, it's no big deal and is easily fixed

1) Turn off the AG Water pump. plug the AG lights into another outlet using a Figure-8 cord(like the xbox/playstation kind), and leave the base unplugged

2) the filter square is more or less useless now - remove it and trim off the little bit of root tips that you have to to get it free.

3) get Airstones to create oxygen in the water:


You can find em at any store/petstore(walmart, petco, etc), and you'll need a couple feet of tubing + a pump also. Keep the airstones on 24/7

he's just saying 50/50 shot on each, better to over-plant than underplant

but yeah, you're just as likely to get 4 females as 4 males, just make sure you KEEP LIGHT OUT during the dark periods! I found out the hard way, as only had maybe 2-3 lapses and my best/biggest plant went Hermie/Male on me
