Hey all (1st post !)

1st I want to thank all of you for this wonderful site & all of the knowledge being tossed around. I have been lurking here for a few months now just reading up and decided to go with the AG deluxe white (just got it last week) and im trying my hand at a White Rhino grow since its supposed to be shorter version of the white widow that i can not find (but crave) in my area.

Once i get my crap organized I will start a thread (just did lol) so yall can help me (i will probably need it) I have never grown anything so it will be interesting.

My seeds just got in yesterday and Im germinating now with 2 plates & some paper towels

I got my airpump, tube, air stone, thermometer, Ph test kit, ph down (gotta get PHup) , got a nifty surge protector with built in timer.

Lights - now I am trying to figure this part out. I got 8 dual spectrum II 85watt (4 veg/4 flower) I DID NOT REALIZE HOW BIG THESE LIGHTS WERE!! I can not figure out how to position them I saw someones post where they took a cfl and tied it through the AG label hole in the hood and thought i could do that too until the lights came and were almost as big as the AG hood each. WTF lol

I guess too much light is never a problem.

any suggestions???

imma post a pic in a sec gotta figure out how to do that 1st

I think you should ditch your aero garden and make your own DWC system
It will work much much better and will allow for bigger plants.

Thanks for checking out my thread....Yea I know that its the common opinion that a DIY setup would be better results then the AG but this is just my 1st grow and I suck at putting stuff like this together so after months of research I decided to run at least 2 grows in the AG b4 I built my own thing. Plus I plan on doing a renovation to my house in the summer and will have a custom "storage closet" to the Dims & specs I want.

so this is just something to practice on till I get to that stage

Leave them the way they are just make something that will reflect the light back to the plants
They should work nice in the spots they are in now, just need something to throw more of the light at the plants

yea I was lookin for some mylar but cant find it locally might order some online and put up some aluminum foil for the time being...lol real hood $hit lol

aluminum foil sucks don't use it
it causes hot spots

Honestly you should be fine i wouldn't worry about mylar, and don't ditch your AG, unfortunately some people tend to think it's shit, but obviously it's not as you can see there is a whole section just for AGers, personally I grow in an AG and love it, ya it's small but if your only growing for personal use, what's the purpose of a DWC expert grow setup that costs you the same for an AG when all you really need to do is add a few CFL's, don't worry about anything reflective as long as your walls are flat white or any kind of white for that matter they will reflect light just fine. Everyone that follows the AG section will be more than happy to help you out! Goodluck and i'm here if you have any questions

yo thanks man much appreciated. its def for personal use and i think 3 plants should do me good. A 1/2 O lasted me like 2-3 months with lite use. so i figured thats what i should get per plant on a minimum after reading several posts. so thats my dried & cured goal. hopefully i can get something smokable for xmas or new years



so i got 3 more (5 total) of the same sized cfls for veg (85watt 6500k 4200 lumen/bulb). What can i do so that i did not waste $$$ on extra bulbs? would it suck not to have one of the good cfls positioned under the AG hood with their 2 stock lights? Or would it be ok if i could just figure out how to hang them around the AG? (5 cfls circling the AG with 2 of their weaker lights above the plants...


I wanna get this straight so that when my seeds pop we can get the party going.
