my plants are about 24 inches tall and will be six weeks old this thursday. i have noticed that it is a female.. because of the hairs..... when do i start flowering? at what week? this is my first time growing and first time with a female i am not really sure what to do

what light you got, 24 inches is a good time to flower cause they stretch.

First things first, you need to figure out exactly how much room you have. marijuana plants will generally stretch from two to three times their height during flowering.

Here's an example. If you have three feet in height total, then you would wanna flower around eight to ten inches. This will leave you substantial room for your lights and whatever else.

For a standard, you'll usually wanna flower around four weeks or more. This will allow your plants to produce a stable root system along with strong stems (use an oscillating fan of the like to encourage stronger stems).

To allow your plants to mature to a suitable age for flowering without going over your height limit, utilize methods such as topping, fimming and LST (Low Stress Training).
