Hey all.. I've grown in the past but was only nearly successfull once, only to have both of what i thought were females go hermie.
So after getting more and more contaminated green(micro-glass, sprayed adulterants.. it's EVERYWHERE now), I decided if I try again, it'd be with an actually good setup, not some ghetto ass attempt with no reliable setup.
Last month I bought two Aerogarden Deluxes, 10 additional CFLs, seeds from Nirvana, Airstones, dimmers.

*Setup: 2 Aerogarden Deluxe(s).
*Seeds: 2 Femenised Papaya Indica, 2 Femenised Aurora Indica, 1 Femenised Lowryder, and 1 Femenised Hawaiian Maui Waui. All from Nirvana.
*Lighting: 6x26wCFL(4680 Lumens), 5x30w CFL(10,000 Lumens), 5x42w CFL(14000 Lumens) = 28680 Lumens = 14340 Lumens per Aerogarden with 3 plants
*Growth: Plants have been growing for 24 days under 24/0.
*Height: Tallest- 9.5" Smallest- 5.5"
The plants already smell of something serious.. I can't wait to have a blunt of the final product- rolled... smoking...

Any help / instructive criticism is welcomed.. the only problems as of now is i fear they may get too tall when I start flowering.. and my main problem is the roots.. they're growing extremely fast and getting into the pump.. I trim the roots every week or so, but I want to make sure that'd be safe to do to the plant before I do it anymore..

What's up BobbyD! Glad to see you have joined the RIU community. Sounds like you got a little experience under your belt.

First off, I would like to say that your girls look fantastic. Second, lumens don't add. You only have as many lumens as your most powerful light. Third, If you're worried about height, just force flower when you think you should. Remember, the height of the plant will usually triple when set to flower.

Also, I wouldn't use 24/0 past seedlings, 18/6 is probably your best bet for root growth and overall growth.

What nutrients are you using? Also what strengths?

Other than that, shit looks great man. If you ever have any questions, the answers are all over this place. In the event that you can't find an answer, just post it here and one of us will be happy to help you to the best of our ability.

Aye thanks man.. yeah i've seen your grows, all of them have been inspiring..

As of now im only using the stock Ag nutes with some Schultz all purpose 10-15-10.. full strength on both ( 2 large AG tablets every resevior refill and I add an extra 2 quarts of water with the Schultz)..

Im going to be limited on funds, thats why im worried about them getting taller and having to spread out all that light.. I want the buds in the end to be as tight as possible.. I was thinking maybe top them all down to 7" then giving them a week and force flower.. I would flower now but I need the two Figure 8 Power cords for the lights.. I also think I need to lay out my grow space with mylar..

Mylar is cheap man! I ordered a 25' by 48" roll for 13 bucks. You can find it all over the place.

Lumens don't add? do you really only have as many lumens as your strongest bulb? If so how can CFLs give your plants enough lumens if 68w bulbs are only 4200 lumens?
