Default starting to grow with aerogarden 2nd grow
I did my first grow a few months back with soil and some CFLs.. Very low budget and no good nutes.. In the end i winded up with a couple 3 - 4 foot plants, no females..

I have been browsing through this site for quite a while since then gathering info on my next grow and hoping for it to be more successful.

Right now I have an aerogarden with some additional CFLs, and foxfarm nutes big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom.. I also have the aerogarden seed kit (salad greens i believe)..

The seeds i ordered from Nirvana , the name of the strain is "Master Kush" i chose that for its High THC level and growing ease, also it says the plant does not grow too high..

I have done alot of reading, but i would like some advice from experienced aerogarden/aeroponics growers..

In what order do you guys use these nutes and switch to other lighting for flowing.. Also what is a cheap light I can get but powerful when it is time to flower.. Has anyone grown master kush in the aerogarden before? I am doing my last bits of research and starting this next grow in the next few days.. I will make sure to start a grow journal and keep everyone posted with pics!

Thanks in advance for any info or advice before i start!

Dont use nutes just yet. Let them get a few sets of leaves first. How are you germinating them? got pics?

No i do not have pics yet.. I just started and this is my first grow out of soil.. I havent even planted the seeds yet.. I was thinking of sprouting them right in the aerogarden with the domes they supply, or should i use paper towels? I'm going to start with all 7 slots and as they grow, I will pick the best ones and discard the rest.. Im hoping to get 2 good females in the end..

So I should start with no nutes at all and go from there?

Good luck with the grow, Ralphie. I had a great first-grow experience with AG. (I posted my yeild off two plants here:http://www.rollitup.org/general-mari...o-yield.html.). Regarding your lighting, I know some have grown with CFL's, but after sprouting I changed the AG light to 400W MH/HPS that I got off Ebay. I think it was worth it. I kept the AG on salad green setting the whole time. I grew Misty, which I think is close to Master Kush--short and bushy. Two points of advice: 1. use the FF nutes very sparingly at first. I didn't get to full strenth until I started flowering. 2. Try bending to keep the plant short. Unwind a wire hanger, bend it a bunch of times, tape it to side of AG, then tie the plant to the hanger using plastic ties. This kept my plant real short and bushy, and increased the yield in a big way. Good luck!!!

I used the starter nutes for my lowryder so far its working great. oh and the reason i have only one lowryder is because using the aerogarden is just experimental for me just to see what kind of growth i would get.
