I am using the screen of green method to help me control and get better yield out of a stain I have been growing. It is dominantly sativa and stretches a good amount during 12-12. My question is when should I start 12-12 to fill the screen, but not over-do-it. Do I weave/train them in the net them induce 12-12, or do I want the net above them and have the buds grow into the screen after 12-12 is induced? All comments welcome. I know it depends a lot on the strain, but I am looking for some advise from growers that often use this method.

i continued to weave about 2-3 weeks into flower.....i waited until the screen was about 3/4 full and then fliped it to 12-12..after the screen was packed i left it alone and it did its thing....

Awesome, I know I am not going to get it perfect he 1st time, since it's so strain/screen size dependent, but all the info from experienced people I can get the better.

With a sativa I would start the flip when the screen is half full. Max! Continue to weave in and around for at least the first 2.5 to 3 weeks. This should keep the canopy relatively even. After all, that is the goal, right?

im trying my 1st scrog now also. i had 4 plants under a screen in my closet but it got hard to water and tie down branches so i just cut the screen and now all 4 have their own screen so i can take them out of the closet.

also i think that weaving would cause a big headache with harvest time comes so i just push everything under the screen.

i'm also trying to figure out when to flower. i know you definately dont want to switch too late but you want that screen to be full. to be safe i might switch when screens half full.

Well technically you arent supposed to weave it as much as let it grow along the underside of the screen while the new growth tips go through each square to eventually make a canopy of colas- 1 out of each square.
