Its going to be a good two and a half months before I can start going there, but it doesnt hurt to be prepared. this is basically what Im going to do with my outdoor grow once its done.

1) chop em down and take em back to my house.
2) trim them and hang them in a ventilated closet for about 1 week.
3) keep them in jars with airholes in the lids for about 2 weeks.
4) get high and play supermario bros 3.

anything seem out of place? something that Ive missed? (and dont u dare talk trash about supermario bros 3!). what techniques do you guys use?

Sounds good,but don't throw your leaves away,use them for making kief,hash,honey oil,space cake...etc. You can use brown bags to cure and dry your buds at the same time.Doing the bag technique will give your buds that classic nug look that everyone in the world loves to look at! KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

1) OK..... 2) OK, but till stem snaps....... 3) I'd not put holes..fill 3/4 full and lid, open daily and burp, also move all the weed around..thats why I don't like holes, they might make you lazy and not move your weed around, then you might end up with mold where you won't see it......IMO

hmm, guess Ill have to put my thinking beard on when harvest time comes a knockin...alternatively just listen to ur advice I riiily dont want any mold in my pot.

yeah mold can be nasty - gives you more rigid high, toxins taht you don't need at all, and it can kill the taste of the plant, totally
but when they will be dry enough, keep them in in a container with some lemon skin(it's the best from all fruits I have checked out)

What's the paper bag technique? I'm interested...

my method:
take the shtuff (flat on a page of a standard thin newspaper)don't exceed the thicknes ofthe weedlayer to be more than 1 cm put some newspaper on top,press it, wrap the edges put in a dry not to cold palce - i use my laptop and it takes 2 days to be dry and not loose the taste
method got from one forum:
wrap your weed around a pencil and put it into paper bag take out the pencil not destroying the structure of a roll you'd just build, store it

You will only need to dry them for ~3-5 days (maybe less).
No holes in your lids... If you check on them and they are too wet, just vent the jar for 8+ hrs each day until it's good.
