i mixed 1 tbs with 1 gallon of water, but after the third day it smells sour. is it supposed to or am i doing something wrong? any help?

It's fermenting.

I try not to let it sit out - mix just what you need.

its fine i mix 1-2 tbs in 1/4 gal of really hot water let it set 4 a few hours then i fill it the rest of the way with tap let it sit overnight shaking whenever possible
