Default Stress = Increased Trichrome Production?

I was lurking around on another forum and ran across this. Stressing the plant to increase trichrome production, it also goes over UVB lighting.Wonder if there is any truth to it, the stressing. It seems logical, just wanted to see what you guys thought. I did notice he talked a little about supper cropping as well, added stress I guess.

I don't like the idea of making life anything but ideal for my girls, but this has got me thinking. Nature isn't nearly as nurturing as some of the growers I've seen on RIU (that's not a bad thing, guys ), so maybe the natural stresses of the switch from summer to fall (high winds, fluctuating humidity, etc) are the key to increased potency.

Stress and uvb light increase trich production.

I just used a CMH bulb for first time which has some uvb and made a huge difference in trich production.

**your on the right path; just keep looking at Nature itself..., feel free to read books, but those are just Other peoples ideas... the fun part is finding your Own ideas --stress is part of the Key

I'm pretty sure that trichs are formed as a reaction to sunlight and photosynthesis. The trichs are a kind of sunscreen that the plant puts on at night in order to protect itself from the damaging sun waves and what not. Your leaves are your primary "solar pannels" so they are what primarily control trich production. That's why you get folks like Uncle Ben saying keeping your leaves nice and green through harvest will benefit you greatly. I don't see how stressing your plant would have anything to do with this trich production. UVB lighting, however, has shit tons to do with trich production and can be seen through nature.
During flowering, the sun isn't shining as much, and the wavelengths are different. You get a lot more of the red spectrum while the sun is up, and while it is setting, though it looks like your plants aren't getting any light, they are getting a whole bunch of beneficial UV lighting.
Suppercropping does allow for a more even canopy, and it could lead to more bud sites and bud production. But I do not see how in anyway that it would effect trich production.

Same principe of having a fan blow on your plants at a higher speed the strengthen the stems/branches.
