So I am thinking about taking 2-4 more clones off of my mother plant. I have read that cutting some of the lower branches encourages the plant to spend it's energy more on the tops of the plants. So what would benifit me the most? Taking cuttings or leaving her be? The cuttings will be veged in a bubble ponic set up similar to the one in my grow journal (see sig).

If you dont need the clones you're gonna take....why put the mother thru uneeded stress?

If you need the clones...cuttings from the bottom root a little faster from my experience. And yes....growth is focused more towards the top of the plant afterwards.

im using a SoG method and i take my clones from the bottom of my plant, the problem with that is, you once you take so many clones your left with a tall plant and a bare long stem, and most of my shorter plants actually seem to root faster, ill be replacing my mothers soon though too, can keep them for more than like 10 weeks without them getting too big

ur doing something called loli poping take all the branches that are lower away to make it look like a loli pop. it works absolutely great if you have a light above the plants the other branches were only going to make popcorn compared to the top
dont let em take away from your plants make sure you water with your nutrients well after that. and dont go crazy but take some old fan leaves off helps flower growth
