Gday all,

I know that there is no benefit in putting the co2 in the water as the plants want it through there leaves, but what i want to know is there anything bad about injecting some into the water, it is done in aquariums for aquarium plants and at the same time u run the setup off a ph controller which uses the co2 to lower and control the ph of the water to what u set it at.


I allready have the bottle and most of the stuff needed so it wouldnt cost much to do.

The roots want oxygen not co2

hi everyone,

Yea i know that roots want oxygen not co2, this would be used in a flood and drain setup so they would still getting a good amount of O2 wouldnt they?

The purpose of it wouldnt be trying to benifit anything for the plants but to have a resonably cheapish automated ph control setup, i believe the solenoides for acid type ph control setups are fairly expensive when compared to a air/gas solenoide as air and gas is less taxing on the equipment then what acid is.
