shaping and sizing my strechy plant

so here's the deal
this plant is some indica strain i don't know by name but it's got good genetics. outdoors, 5 hours of direct sunlight, 3 gal pot.

the first month or so was very hard for it and for some reason it hardly grew past the seedling, but then started taking a major leap and was fimmed:

after fimming, i started giving it artificial light, to control flowering, since it's outdoors and end of august, i put it under one 85w CFL (mistake), with 4200K color (another mistake), as artificial lighting, to give it a total of 18 hours light and avoid flowering. this was a big hassle. the result of this is streching. right now i have sometimes 5-9 cm between nodes (2-4"). Also, very strong and thick stems, more than the others.

Responding to the stretching, and to avoid excessive height growth that even fimming and badly fimming could not stop, I supercropped it on both main stems, and tied the pinched stems to keep them down:

I also fimmed the three top branches, to further encourage lower branching.

Now, for some reason, after all this, and quite recently, like, 4 days ago, the plant began flowering. Turned out to be a female. it's quite strange that it started flowering, since I was keeping it on 18 hours of light. ever heard of such a case? in the month that they were given supplemental lighting, there may have been a day or even two that i missed, resulting in only 12 hours, but no more, and only early on. I think it may have been all the stress I caused it from all the techniques... the fimming, supercropping etc. could it have been so bad for it, that it was stressed into flowering? will that increase hermie chances?

But actually it's not so bad that it's flowering now. because the real problem, is that no matter what, it keeps getting taller, about 1' 6" (45cm) now, and in the onset of early flowering growth boom. The stems are quite thick, almost too thick to pinch and bend, and i don't know what to do. For security reasons, I can't let it grow taller than 2' 4", 5" max. and i'm afraid it's gonna try to get past that. I also wanna counter the effects stretching, and get as many colas as I can. Right now it has a pretty cool shape to it, four main stems growing from the sides of the pot, coming from the main stem at the center of the pot. it's quite fun:

But i still need to control it. Any idea would be appreciated. I also think I would have problem tying it down, because I don't have what to tie it to. I used nails I put in the pot, and later sticks in the ground, to keep it in position, but if I want to bend it vertically again, I dunno how I can tie it down. So I need some ideas on that too.

peace!

Maybe it is an autoflower strain
