use male or female to cross pollinate?

When doing a cross of say strain A with strain B, what will be the differences if I use A pollen on B or use B pollen on A? The genetics should be different right? or will they come out the same?

I don't think there would be too much of a difference. It all depends on the pheno and genetics of the Mother and Father plants. If you want to cross A and B and your A plants best male is stronger than B's best male than make that your choice for for the male. In that case you'd have to choose the best female B plant. Or vis versa.

even if you have 2 different strains, there will be different phenotypes so yes there can be a difference. if you have the space to grow them then do the crosses both ways.

this is only what i have heard and not from personal experience

females more strongly influence
type of taste /smell
flower structure and yeild
potency and resin production

males strongly influence
amount of taste / smell
flowering length and finish
branch and fiber strength/production
