Default Outdoor, indoor seeds??? WTF
why is it always stated that outdoor seeds produce more then the indoor? the only thing i can think of is that the roots would have less restriction in the unlimited soil, or that the sun is incomparable to indoor lights. but i think with enough good lights and a big pot (i dont really think its the pot, roots can be so root bound and still be able to grow normally im a bonsai enthusiast so ive seen from experience the extremes for growing plants) the plants should grow the same. is it that plants grown outside have longer veg. growth then people like to have in indoors (size problems) but i dont have a problem with having 20 large plants growing and having plenty of lights to support them. so should i discount that information or is there a major difference outside?

P.S. i have never grown outdoors because of the dangerous variables i cant control. so i cant personally see a difference. interested in people personal experiences! thanks

My experience is that natural environment is much better than indoors. Yield? That all depends on your skill, strain and consistent ideal weather conditions. Remember while growing indoor the key is to create an environment that mimics the sweet out-doors. I have had greater yields indoors than outdoor. Why? I am not really sure....maybe due to the amount of CO2 that was added. Good luck.

it looks to me like every strain according to these seed sites is a greater yeild outside but shit idk! how much co2 are you adding and what do you use? ive been growing for a little over 5 years i get some really nice crops but never used co2 mainly because i couldn't find a good alternative to just buying a tank which i think is a little to risky for me to go filling those all the time. thanks for the post

I was referring to the capacity size of the tank cylinder. A twenty pound tank is a excellent size for you. It's not one of those big ass tall welding tank sizes and it's not a tiny paint ball size. It's just a tad bit shorter than a scuba diving tank, highly mobile yet holds quite a bit of c02.

so has any got the answer to why it is stated that an outdoor plant will produce more then an indoor? i think with proper space for roots, lights and longer veg. time they should be the same if not better since you control the environment. am i right or am i missing something?

The yields are only averages. Typically a plant designated as indoor will grow well and meet the yield average indoors in a space of 1 sq meter not per plant but the cultivation space which most likely would have several plants. This already assumes that you have the appropriate environmental controls and skills as a grower. The outdoor door yield average is per plant.

ok look. plants yield more when they grow taller. when they are outside, they dont have a height cap. also the plants "stretch" more to get as much as possible. this is why many strains of cannabis reach up to 20ft. outdoors ... more height = more bud. plus natural sunlight has a higher range of light absorbed by the plant. very hard to recreate the sun artificially. greenhouses are the best way to grow since you get natural sun, but can control the environment better than outdoors only.

so really i was right you can get the same indoors as outdoors if you have enough room, soil, and light! i realize its per m2, but are they really telling the truth i never got 500 grams per meter2, or are they just gassin it up? has anyone got close to 500/m2 i would love to see that crop!! thanks though!

ps - one of my grow rooms is in a boiler room which has a 30 foot ceiling so hight is not a restriction, so really they are just goin off of what people normally have as conditions in an indoor grow? thats what i thought! thanks
