Yeah, I know what a hermie is, I just wanna know why so many people think you can so easily make a plant hermie?

If you beat your daughter is she gonna grow a penis? How bout if you starve her? Maybe if you make her shower too often? No. Didn't think so.

Basically if your plant is susceptible to going hermie, it was going to probably happen, if not this time, the next set of clones. It's a genetic thing, you can't just fuck up and make a plant go hermie.

I once tried to herm out a plant, I routinely kept it at temps above 100 F, over watered the bitch, no airflow, random light cycles, and it didn't hermie until the 5th generation of clones after abusing the fuck out of her like some hooker that doesn't bring home enough money. You know what I'm sayin?

So calm down, treat your plant right to maximize yield, but don't over do it, don't be the mom that gets the kid a flu shot in the summer time.

i had an argument with a buddy earlier who didn't believe that hermaphroditic traits are genetically based... His take on it was that the environment brought about a stress and the stress caused a hermie. i believe that hermie genes are ever present and expressed only when the stress triggers them
