Hello all. I am putting the finishing touches on a pc growcase similar to this one. Fortunately I will be running a slightly larger case with improved airflow to accomodate the extra 26w bulb I have wired in.

I will be running a 42w 65k bulb and a 26w 27k bulb for vegging and the reverse for flowering. Growing AK-48 fems from Attitude in Ocean Forest soil. Plan on using a 24/0 cycle for two weeks followed by a week of 20/4 before a 36 hour dark period to transition into the 12/12 cycle.

I will be following this guide
in a general sense with two plants for a beefy ScrOG setup to utilize my increased lighting situation to the fullest.

My question is what are the most ideal nutrients for a cfl grow of this nature? I have read much info on the nutrients avalable (been leaning towards AN or FF) and was unable to find much information on the rather unique setup I have.

What grow nutes would be the most advantageous for this setup? What about bloom nute combos?

Also, am I overanalyzing this?

I've used plenty of types of nutes and found a concoction that works for me. If you've used Fox Farm or AN before, and saw a difference between the two, choose your preference. Ive gone back and forth between expensive brands, and looked at the cost to production ratios, and determined that D.N.F flowering and veg nutes, supplemented with Cal-Mag, Guano, and molases works best for me. So you may be overanalyzing a little bit, just go with whats worked for you before, and you cant go wrong.

Therein lies the rub! I haven't used nutes with marijuana before thus the overly complex analyzation. I just want ensure that I waste as little time learning through trial and error as possible. I know a degree of experimentation will be necessary.

I only wish nutes could be picked up in smaller quantites for testing. Any companies give more then those small packets of nutes as trials?

Here is my opition, Stay away from pricey nutes with name brands, what is important is keeping the plant needs in mind. So a plant needs 6 macro elements and 10 micro elements in a fert. If you dont find a nute that has all 16 then dont worry cause most name brands dont tell you whats not in it just what is, if you dont know what to llok for than your the one out of luck. I would recommend dyna-gro. Go to the site and read if for yourself, I did and opted to buy it, plus its a one part nute so all you do is just add it to the water, maybe adjust ph and thats it. Its not a 3 part series that you need to mix. Most importantly it has all 16 elements to produce a healthy plant, FF and AN dont have all 16. Check it out, get informed and make your decision. Much obliged for the great information! I actually happened to get lucky with a friend who grew (unbeknownst to me) and they hooked me up with their recipe for success (not the kit). It's moderately complex, coming from a botany major and all, but I'm confident in my abilities.

Pura Vida is awsome Organic nutrients, it can be used hydroponicly or i use it for soil. super high consentration so you get your moneys worth and it comes in a grow and bloom which also can be combined in a "advanced" bloom and grow formula. I find it gives me really solid growth and it lasts for the price.
