Arrow Root pruning....?Will this work --->
Greetings good ppl of our community...

So i have this 5 month old plant outdoors, but the growing conditions are really bad right now...-C are here...
The plant hasnt really grown much, cas almost half the month has been heavy rains and strong winds....My plant has suffered some losses too...3 big branches has just snapped of by he wind, and damaged hardly my stem(used to be a worlds biggest stem)

So, my question is, can i prune 50% of the roots, or maybe lil more, and transplant it to a bigger container(i have read it somewhere, but have no experience with this)..?It has been growing outdoors for 4 months, and the roots are i think really, really deep, cas its grown on top of a hill....
Good thing is, that i also did a mound, and the plant sits on top of a "volcano"-that makes the digging a lot easier!!!

Im planning to move it indoors, under some fluros and cfls.....

I need my medicine for medical reasons, and for sharing with my closer mates....
Please, if u have any experience on this topic, help out or just give me good advice.....
Theres not much time, so pls help me save my tree!!!

You can cut off the rootball if you want as long as you cut off a roughly equal amount, percentage-wise, of the plant itself or else it will not survive.

A plant’s rootball will be pretty equal in size to the above ground part of the plant, a plant’s growth is pretty much 50/50 above ground and below ground. Cutting roots is not a problem as long as you cut away enough of the plant itself so the remaining root structure is large enough to keep it alive.

Since you will not want to cut off all your budsites it appears that what you want to do cannot be done, that is dig up the plant and cutting back its rootball and then planting it in a large container, not unless you can get almost all of the existing rootball and keep it intact.

yes you can defenetly prune off some roots and transplant, as a matter of fact its the best possible thing you can do to save them , i have done it a couple times with success , but if they where grown outdoors all this time i dont know how theyl react to the much much weaker cfl lighting, if you can put them in a big pot with good soil outdoors in daytime indoors at night,,, if poossible,,, good luck dude , let us know

oh and theyl need plenty opf support to reduce the allready high stress situation

The problem is, if i even pull it don, i dont have a big enough container....
Im planning on digging it up from the volcano, and then hauling it onto some sort of stand/vessel...
But i think i will not be glorious, cas the root system is rather big, and the supporting while transporting.....i think i have already failed the mission...

thanks for advice plantsinpants.

So i will try to dug up the most of the roots i can, and then im going to leave it there for a night, cas the weather report says it not going to be -C in my are..will be like 2 C(wooooow)
the reason im leaving it there is that I want to see if it survives or not....Is this a reasonable plan to you..?

thanks gs , dont worry, weed is resilient as any plant ive ever seen, it really takes alot to kill it completely, but frost will do the trick, keep an eye on the weather , avoid rain

Bad news everybody...frost was here, and it was not welcomed.....
Maybe, maybe my volcano wrap helped a little, and the fact, that the plot is a much higher than the ground...but, we shall see when i camp back to my plot...
