I found a site that explained PGLs vs lumens, it seemed that florescents are equal if not superior to HPS.

But HPS are known for tight thick buds, are thier any pros who can vouch for 2700k 68 watts or better CFLs.

I grew under fluro's for many years, and now use 2 600w HPs. While I still believe fluros are adequate, HPS are much faster during the crucial first few weeks of bud formation.

Yeah, the tighter buds hps allow for weigh more than the often smaller and loose/fluffy fluro-buds. Haven't actually compared watt/yield ratio, but get about 2 Z's off small plants (foot n' halfers) w/hps.
Fluro buds very nice tho. Look, smell great . . . nice bag appeal for those preferring loose?

Sounds good to me, I use CFL's, MH, and HPS, just to round them off, THis is my first time with this and it's working well so far.
