I'm pretty sure this exact topic/question hasn't been posted yet. So basically my plant is 2 weeks into flower, in a 5 gallon pot, with miracle gro moisture control soil. I know this soil is definitely not good and it retains too much water but its too late now and I didn't take the time to research soils before I planted. Now I want to leach the soil with Clearex because I'm almost positive there is nute lockout and there's probably a bunch of salt buildup from the time release nutes as well as the nutes I've been adding since the plant was 2 months old. I'm pretty sure that the time release nutes in the soil have been used up since its been about 3 months already.

The problem with leaching this type of soil, and what I'm afraid of is that the soil will just hold all the water in and it'll create root rot. Can I just use a small watering, maybe 1/4 gallon mixed with clearex and then water with the solution every 7 days? That way the clearex will just keep washing down into the soil or should I really run the water down into the soil until it comes out of the bottom? What I'm most afraid of is the root rot that may happen from over-watering the miracle grow mc soil. Can clearex work in leaching and getting rid of salt buildup if I just use a moderate amount every 7 days? If anyone has any answers to this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

There are instructions on the back of the bottle. But I would just flush the hell out of it with PH corrected water. You do have drain holes right?

Root rot will occur only if you over water constantly. If it's really a problem transplant into better soil or add some perilite. Also, test your soil PH.

Thanks a lot of the advice I'll do that. Just one large flush/leach with clearex should hopefully solve this problem for a little while.
