would it be smart to for me to top a 30" clone with alternating nodes to get more bud........ (pic #4) ive already topped two but that was do to some damage during the move

I would. Try looking into the FIM method.

Looks like you are growing outside, I personally would not do anything this late. They are going to want to flower anyday now and you really IMO need at least two weeks for the plant to recover and gain the benefit of the topping or the FIM, before she starts to flower. Hope that helps.
