i don't want to buy a pack of 5 autoflower seeds and pay for a next batch. can anyone help me with a fool proof way to herm one of my autos to give me seeds for a while? haaaayyeeellp!

well since there are enough readers and no responders i thought i'd shed light on my own question.

thanks goes to R3AP3R and Yourlocal420 for the knowledge and understanding.

Since you cannot clone autoflowers and constantly having to remove males from your garden, the best way to go about having an easier harvest would be to produce femanized seeds. and since the autoflowering ruderalis species are used to having sunlight all day, inducing them to turn hermaphrodite would seem pretty troublesome. but the solution to this problem is something i'd never guess.

Turns out that female autoflowering strains if let to grow past their flowering phase automatically grow pollensacks. presto! no need to stress a plant to herm, and you can collect fem pollen to produce femanized seeds. there are plenty of other threads explain how to collect pollen and how to pollinate a plant for seeds so theres no need for me to reinvent the wheel. I hope this info helps anyone as much as it has helped me.

Damn thats great I didn't know that. Not to find some nice auto-flower strains. +REP for answering your own question.

I just do it the old fashioned way. keep the dominant male and pollinate my dominant fem. You don't have to pollinate the entire plant. One good bud site will do.

I've let LR#1 go as far as 78 days and never seen a single banana.

yeah....kind of sounded too good to be true...

ive been researching it myself and have found a lot of info on it. 78 days is only bout 11 weeks i heard that it has to be around 2 weeks over expected harvest date so about 84 days or more, apparently its an emergency trait of the plant so it will reproduce asexually to keep the strain alive. and even if it is all bullshit your bound to get atleast one male outa that pack so pollinate 1 female and youll have enough for another grow and some.
