you say he shakes it to imitate wind. I know from experience that if i have a fan blowing on the plant that it makes the stem stronger. I dont have it on an intense setting that blows the plant away, just enough to make a difference and i feel it works. I dont understand why you wouldnt just add a wind source instead of risk hurting your plant by shaking it?

As for yield i feel a big factor obviously is to get all your bud sites good lighting. I once saw a barrel grow where the guy had 5 or 6 t5s in a garbage can with one plant in it. The lights went vertical and surrounded the plant so that as it grew all its branches had about the same amount of light, and if i remember correctly he yielded a huge amount of weed from this setup. Ive wanted to try to duplicate it, but havent had the time to try it. But either way it, if your bud site does not get a lot of light then it wont make bid buds.
