hello everyone i was wondering how many lumen a 600 hps looses inside a cool tube? i know that u can run the light lower which in return will get more lumen to the plant over a smaller area. My friend suggested to remove them during the winter since lumen are lost. please advise and clarify for me please thanks. i am under the understanding that running bulbs in cool tubes is just better since you can get bigger buds with less heat and sicne heat is the issue get it the fuck out of there

Na, I wouldn't remove them, if u do again u wont b able to get as close to the canopy,
yes u lose lumen but not a significant amount, any loss would be greatly offset by the fact that you can keep your plants much closer to the light, so gain it back by moving your plants closer.
Also by keeping the bulbs cooler u expand their life expectancy
