I heard pinching works but could someone explain. I'd rather not top outdoors because of bugs and slows growth. Any other way?

i have had great results toping plant of all kinds, making more buds and flowers and stronger healthier plant usually growing faster then they did before, goes to show that "whatever doesn't kill you only makes you strong" might have some truth behind it.

yeah topping definitely has its benefits!!! and there isn't risk, it helps a lot with bushing out but you could also tie branches down, exposing new shoots which result in new branches, depending how big the plant is, this could be repeated several times. there is a limit to the height a plant reaches but with tying you manipulating its growth resulting in a much fatter plant = more bud!

Ok well I'm planting outdoors near a swamp so cutting a branch will leave it open for pests to get in. Which is quicker more efficient and produce more bud?

train your plant, top, fim or supercrop...

all have the same purpose, to create more tops, even canopy.

man, trust me, top it, it doesn't stress the plant, all you're doing is redistributing hormones to the auxillary buds which basically tells them to start growing. The result is a bushier plant. I've taken plant biology and know for a fact that this will not hurt your plant.

It won't particularily increase your chances of disease infection either.. If bugs/disease choose to nail you in a swamp, then thats just the way things are..
