Hey there guys I am on my 3rd grow... 2nd successful grow in my cabinet, and I think everything is looking great. I have been gone a long time and I was just wondering what you guys think.

This is a ebb & flow system, with a 400w CMH bulb. I am using DM One, and several additives. The strain is Cotton candy, and I already have 2 beautiful clones for the next cycle. This one plant is about 1-2 weeks into flowering, and the last plant yielded 118 grams from just one.

I know that it is a lot but the Fox Farm was free, the Sub-Culture was cheap, and the Cal-Mag is a necessity. I use all these products at 2/3 strength, and have not seen any negative effects yet. She is watered every 4-5 hours with a 25 second flood, and drain takes about 10 minutes.

This is obviously a costum home made system and has seemed to work very well for me and I seemed to have it tuned in pretty well. Every other res change I flush by hand using 5 gallons of RO water with clearex added.

Please tell me what you think and if you have any questions or advice feel free to add your thoughts.

I do have one question... I have a plain jane 400w HPS (SEE PICTURE) what I want to know is should I keep the CMH or use the HPS for flowering?

Looking pretty good bro!! How big(dimensions) is your cabinet?? I'd use a HPS for flowering.

The cabinet is about 30x24x65 inches. So it is about 27 cubic feet, with a 4" Vortex fan, and a small HH carbon filter (the Goblin I think). Odor is completely controlled and I have had to refill the scrubber once. The box is a bit loud but I try not to let people come over, and when they do I have an AC running to help with temps and hide the sound.

Does anyone suppose I need to do some extra trimming. I trim about oce a week as I feel it is needed. Will trimming cause a drop in yield?

Glad to see your getting you style down and dialing it in. looks like will be a lot of colas poppin through the screen. I love seeing you made your own grow setup as you know me Im all about the DIY grows lol.I heard and saw ads for the Cotton Candy you smoked it yet?What cha keeping the res ph at? Looking good so far will watch to see how those colas pop through. Little trim is ok heres and there but dont take to much as those fans fuel the fire taking in the needed light

Yeah I have not cut any of the bigger fan leaves at all. I know that the fan leave are where the magic happens LOL. For PH my meter reads it about 5.8-6.1. I know that this is a bit high but I am afraid to calibrate my meter. For this cheapo meter anything under 5.6 and over 6.1 I can see ph damage within a day or two. I actually have an 80 dollar Milwaukee meter that I hate, and when I use my cheapo checker to set the PH at 5.8 the milwakee reads about 5.4. Additionally when I first check my PH in the morning when the lights are about to go off, it will usually read 6.1, but the Milwakee reads about 5.8. Now I know that 5.8 is ok, and 6.1 is not so good... but if I go by the Milwakee meter then the plants suffer from PH damage. That little cheapo Hanna Checker is what I prefer to use as I know what it should read for safe PH.

Yeah the Cotton Candy is some pretty dank nugget. I get slightly higher than the beaster buds that I buy from a dealer. I usual pay 10 bucks a gram and I would charge 15-20 for the CC I grew. My buddy bought a couple 8ths from me and was more than willing to pay 45 for them. The last harvest my heaviest nug was about 6 grams with an average of 4g per nugget. I was very happy with the results and it lasted me about a 40 days to smoke it all minus 2 8ths that I sold LOL. The second grow died from root rot right at the base of the stem. I am not sure why but I equated it to poor sanitation between grows. Now I make sure that I clean the res and grow container very very well between grows. Thanks for checking in Fletch as I said before your advice is valued. Sorry for our discrepancies before, I was ignorant but have humbled myself sense then.
