Not in this hobby.. To us a hermie is just what we say it is.. There are descrepencies of definition in more formal circles too.. Words are for communicating thoughts, not nitpicking..

Hey what happened with your seeds ect... I have the same thing happening right now. I am wondering what the heck to do. I spent 100 a seed so I kept one male to pollinate and today I see female pistils??? Would like to know what you did.

anyone reading this post if you have a similar plant than know male hermis do not have any genes that promote female hermis

males with female traits are exelent for inproving reisen production in a line so they make good breeding stock

if you have a group of males and are looking for a suitable male take a cutting from each then put them into a flowering light cycle and start feeding them a 5 50 5 (rooting) fertilizer the ones that show female traits first will make good daddys

some in evry group you will often get one that flowers if it selfs keep the seeds if viable you have a good male line for breeding projects

Hi im a first time grower lol got two plants which ive been told are female ,im also led to believe there straight thai ,when i rub my thumb and forfinger on the stem and smell,it propa stinks of "weed " lol is this a good indicator that im worrying myself over nothing by thinking there male? 2nd pic looks female. unless your friend was a dumb ass he probaly wouldnt clone males.... they look fine i sat grow the bitches and see what you get!

During one of my experiments I used La Femme female hormones (NAA) on a batch of 10 plants to see if it would produce all females.
This wasn't a success, I got 5x females and 5x males.
Anyway I decided to keep 1 male for breeding and have just noticed it has pistols growing mixed in with the male balls.
I wouldn't call it a hermie as it's predominately a male, and the female hormones have caused the pistols to grow, but what will happen if I

1: If I use the pollen on a female, is it likely to produse normal seeds or what can I expect?

2: If I let it pollenate itself what is likely to happen?
probly will get femnized seeds that as we all know are easy stressed into becoming males or hermines

I have a plant that i started outdoor and left it till it expressed male flowers. I ripped it up and moved it to my room to collect pollen. I placed plastic bags over the flower tops to collect the pollen. After about a week i noticed that the bags were collecting water (I accidentally over-watered it) One had fuzzy mold growing obviously removed that branch.. but when i removed the other bags to let the tops dry out i noticed that the tops of the colas were starting to produce pistils.. It will be interesting to see if they self pollinate and produce viable seeds whether they are masculine or not.. I just wonder what caused this to happen. I have my guesses but still not sure. I would assume it has to do with the environmental stress it received after being ripped out of the ground, went from intense sunlight to only 1 hour of direct sunlight and no other lights (this was also an experiment to see what would happen). Its been in these conditions for about 2 months now..Ill keep you all updated on the outcome..

1. I would think that if the pollen was used on a female plant you would get regular seeds not feminized...

2. If you pollinated itself it would most likely produce masculine seeds as the genetics are predominantly male...

Since a female plant can express male flowers under the correct environmental stresses (without colloidal silver or other solution) and produce feminized seeds. it would be safe to assume the same thing is possible with a male but instead of feminized seeds they will be male predominantly...

I have a male plant with female flowers that i plan on self-pollinating I will post the results in a few months...

Also im not entire sure that there are such thing as "hermie seeds" that will only produce hermies (im pretty sure that hermie seeds are just a misnomer however im not saying that under environmental stress the plant cant become "hermie" )... from what i know (both first hand and from the cannibis bible) the sex of marijuana is very easy to influence before it grows its third set of branch nodes....
