I have researched alot into cloning as I see asking questions helps but LEARNING helps more so I did alot of work on my own.

But 1 question

How long do I need to keep them in a hot box with water OUTSIDE?
2 weeks? Or more?

I am going to buy a hot box but NO HEATER

So do I put them in there and then a little water at the bottom and put the top on and leave them?

And for how long shall they sit before they are ready?

Try using aerocloning. Takes 10 days or so to get roots.

Go to lowes and homedepot they have a ton of these right now because of the spring season and they're rather inexpensive. Now its not a hydrofarm unit, and it doesnt have the heat pad, but it has the tray, the rapid rooting plugs, and the clear "greenhouse" snap on top.

smoote thats how i usally do it but i went to dollar store and got a $2 clear tote.. put it upside down and just put the peat pucks in it burn 2 small holes in it and u should be set

Yea man those peat plugs are great for starting new plants and clones, i don't know why so many rag on them.

I also think the heat mat is a little over rated. When i used the peat plugs i had great success with just the initial watering to saturate the plug and then just sitting it in a window. I like to let nature do as much work for me as possible.
