Arrow Roots as soil?

So I grow DWC, and was admiring my roots system and thought to myself, "You know what, I bet if I were to throw my roots in a Rubbermaid, and throw in some worms to break it down, it might be the best soil ever."

I decided to quit using soil after my first grow, but I like to experiment so I think I'm just gonna see what happens.

Any thoughts?
