Hello Fellow growers

I have just recieved my PH meter and EC meter.
The PH meter is no problem to use, i got that
But my EC meter i am having a little bit of trouble with.

My question is: How can i convert the reading i get on the EC meter to PPM??
The scale on my meter is 0.00 - 20.00 EC
I'm not even sure what that meens.
Anyone that can explain me this?

1.0 EC = approx. 600 ppm as a rule of thumb. So, .333 EC = 200 ppm and .50 EC = 300 ppm, etc. The 0.00 - 20.00 EC scale just means your meter is capable of reading up to 20.00 EC - it's unlikely you would ever go much above 2.0 EC (1200 ppm).

When i add my nutrients to the solution (GHE Total series) it reads 2,3-2,4 EC

Is this too much? The water is pretty hard very i live (Denmark)

Really? My particular brands feed schedule calls for up to 1600 ppm in flower.

1.6 EC vegging, 2.4 EC flowering
EASY

250 PPM = 0.35 EC
600 PPM = 0.85 EC
800 PPM = 1.14 EC
1000 PPM = 1.42 EC
1200 PPM = 1.71 EC
1300 PPM = 1.85 EC
1400 PPM = 2.00 EC
1500 PPM = 2.14 EC
1600 PPM = 2.28 EC
