So basic im looking to find some wild marijuana with so many outdoor grows and feds spraying over the years its hard to find true wild marijuana where are some good places to find true wild weed

Okay skip the north America part, unless you mean SOUTH America. In the amazonian jungle tribes could help you to locate some indigenous crops that they have been growing for hundreds of years. I hope your an anthropologist though, or have access to some great translators that are friends with the locales. you really cant depend on other most Mexican strains being wild since the government has ruined there lineage so much by spraying.

In Asia it grows wild in Vietnam all over. In China in more south western small towns they make there living off of growing hemp. I'm sure they could help direct you to some wild patches. Also its theorized that cannabis evolved out of the foot hills of the Himalayas and Ive seen photo shots of wild cannabis growing on the foothills. I would do some camping and hiking there if you really want to get a chance of finding some of the most pure cannabis sativa plants ever.

Also Thailand would be a great place to go although there is little information on where it grows locally. But the indigenous weeds there flower for almost 20 wks. That would be a awesome discovery.

In India almost anyone can help you find some wild cannabis, as long as they trust you. Kush mountains are a great tourist site for this. Many tour sites on the web advertise trips to India or Afghanistan just to go and see wild cannabis fields. Afghanistan and the sorrounding areas are loaded with cannabis. But alot of it is recently planted and not pure. So you would again need a tranlator to help you find someone that has been growing his whole life. BUT, it grows wild everywhere so if its not in a city you can assume its indegenous.

I also don't believe there is any wild cannabis growing in Europe unless you consider Russia's ruderlais species possibly making it into the most eastern parts of Europe.

You should also consider Africa, this will be the best bang for your buck. Go to Swaziland, or Malawi. There are other places, they are willing to help with a little cash and some cool material goods. They will help yo find many field as long as you have things in exchange. Hi, What your looking for is called a "landrace" strain. That is -- one of pure Indica, or Sativa that is unaltered, absent with any foreign genes, and that is specific to that region.

I have a fascination with these strains... hey.. what PURE 100% INDICA OR SATIVA, dosen't appeal to a pothead? Hehe. You will never ever ever find a pure 100% unbred/crossed cannabis strain on the streets, only way to smoke it, is to grow it, or maybe a foreign visit

Since Africa is close to the equator and receives much sunlight and long growing seasons, Sativa is the landrace strain of African countries... Haze's.

In afghanistan, higherup's in the kush mountains, Indica's are the landraces of that reigon, due to cold mountainious climate and short growing seasons. Interestingly enough, since the mountains are at such an elevation -- it receives more UVB light, which produces more THC and resin.

A seed breeder called "World of Seeds Landrace", sells mannnny strains of landrace, colombian, thai, afghanistan, africa, brazil, ketema... so I think that's who your looking for. Check them out at Dr Chronic here

I noticed something interesting.... Think of the DANKEST strains you've ever seen, heard of, or smoked. Now look at their lineage of genetics. I noticed... if its Indica dominant, that 50-80% of the time... the strain lineage is ( HYBRID STRAIN ) x Pure Afghan Indica ( Kush ). So there's just something about them darn mountains and paki's that produce a fineeeee ganja

You are right. The wild hemp is a low THC sativa. They are truly magnificent specimens with many desirable traits including early maturity,ability to withstand light late frosts, strong healthy structure and able to produce large quantities of bud. Unfortunately, like I said at first, they are very low in THC.

There are so many of them where I live, and their pollen carries so well on the wind, that it is impossible to grow my good strains without a few seeds - no matter how carefully I might cull all of my own males.

The resulting seeds produce good results the first year. The trouble is that the next year's seed crop results from another crossing of wild hemp with the wild hemp x Afghani F1's and potency is greatly diminished.

If I was able to breed back my wild hemp x Afghani F1's -without cross contamination from wind blown wild hemp pollen- maybe the result would tabilize and I'd get a decent strain for the upper midwest.

a buddy of mine years ago used to take a trip to indiana i beleive, and come back with huge bags full. he told me it grows on the side of the roads everywhere. of course this was 15 years ago and ive havent seen my buddy since and ive never been to indiana to verify his story.
