Its not an urban myth. Ethylene does work look up a book call "Girls and boys come out and play: a study of diploid plant sex".... or something like that i will find the real title if you want. Its a scientific publication about plant sex, reversal and influence. It also uses the plan cannabis sativa in a few studies. and it clearly shows that ethylene and auxins are the hormones that stimulate female sex in cannabis. Since cannabis does NOT have a predetermined sex, it does not use the XY system, but the XA. Lamp

All previous information I have found seems to debunk ethylene gas as a sex determinant for marijuana. I'll look into that. Thanks!

Please do i know that bananas arnt the best source a tank and regulater would be best, But it does work. Please check into it.

Ah, I thought we were talking about the gas generated from banana peels. An ethylene gas tank changes the playing field. Perhaps.

Also ainsworth could have been using bananas. We dont know the source of ethylene. Also ever heard on bad apple spoils the batch. This is b/c as fruits rippen they produce more and more ethylene. Eventually until they rot and will quickly rot the surrounding fruit. This is why fruit farmers pick unripe. Then when it gets to market they spray with ethylene to make them rippen. So fruits produce enough on there own to rippen i imagine that its enough to influence sex. Just like CO2 though you would need to stop circulation for a while. Lamp
