okay so I learned up on the method and is straight forward. I got sick of looking for. Metal baster and just went out and bought a honey bee extractor. After reading online , I'm right too assume anywhere between 1-5 grams per ounce , depending on if it's bud or leaves/trim???
Well I blended up a few full fully dried plants that I didn't deem good field retail..Mind you it's still decent, just not grade A. So I blend it up and got 1.5 lbs for oil.
Fill the extractor with an ounce and get .3 of a gram.... Didn't seem right so I try it again, this time .7/gr .
What's wrong... Seems pretty straight forward but I don't wana waist more untill I figure out to up the weights. I'm not packing it in, just tap on it to settle it. Even if it was only stems I should be getting more that this .

ive used a few different contraptions with using butane. with the honey bee you might want to try and run a couple of bottles through it. also make sure you dont pack it in there tight just kinda fluff it in until its full. thats how ive had the best results. good luck!

yea make sure ur using enough butane..... do it till it runs out clear... i was using like 3-6oz of butane for an oz of 'flour'

as previously stated, you need to use alot of butane. I find it takes about 20 grams of dry goods to fill the honeybee and 2 cans of butane per tube. From good stuff (popcorn and sugar trim) i'll usually get about a gram per tube. I find its best to fill the extractor until it starts dripping and then cover the hole with my thumb. I seem to use less butane that way, alothough i end up with a sticky-icky thumb when im done.
Good call on passing on the baster method regardless, it just doesnt seem like a good idea to be using compressed explosive gas in a kitchen utensil.
