I'm finishing up the lst/fim part of my grow and starting my scrog.

I'm 7 or so weeks through LSTing some fem snow white under 90w of cfl. I have about 17 nicely developed branches and 10 or so not so developed which will hopefully come through once i start scrogging (+all the potential at the nodes). My Fimmed main is now growing back nicely.

My question is how high should i place my screen. I figure about 8" since i will be flowering under about 120w cfls.

Ok, how about this. My plants ready to go into flower. Most of the side branches are up to the screen. Problem is that my fimmed main colas are about 1/2 inch lower. Should I put into flower, and hope the mains catch up, should i leave it for a couple of days and put a 2700k ontop of main colas or should i put 6500k above mains for a couple of days, and let it stretch up.

I personally wouldnt stretch it... just toss the 2700's on an flower away. It'll get bigger on its own... I flowered mine at like 8 inches and it went through a massive growth spurt.

just put it into 12/12. I figure it should catch up while i'm moving things around in the SCROG.

A few more question.
As far as a plant growing 2x-3x in height under 12/12, for an lst plant is this total height, or height from dirt to point when set to 12/12?
Assuming the plant had been lst'd and then grown into a screen canopy so everything should be getting equal light, does this increase tend to apply more to the main stem, and then just general mass added to branches, or is it equal across both stem and branches?
When you fim/top a plant, does the extra energy it adds to growing side braches continue after the main branch has recovered for the rest of its growth? From what i've read it seems that it is probably strain relative, but any ides on what i can expect would be awesome.

Well, if I am wrong, someone else please correct me.

When you LST a plant the branches growing around the circle all become colas instead of having one main cola. In doing so, I don't think the main stalk will be the portion growing 2-3 times longer. I think it's only what's growing upwards towards the light.

P.S. I have no experience with LST'ing and plan on trying it next time with coco and supercropping, I've only read about it.

New qustion:

For the scrog, am i trying to get side branches to grow up through each square, or just position a node?
When i position a node i'm just getting side branches shooting up which i hope is what i want.
My squares are 2x2 and am having trouble putting just 1 side branch in each. The stems seem to branch twice per 2inch lenght. Is it ok to snip off the branch thats getting less light or that i can't get to another square?
At what point can i start removing lower branches that i'm sure aren't gonna make it to the canopy in time?

Is there a limit to how many branches i should be trying to get. I've allowed 49 squares for 1 plant which i don't think i'll have any problem filling. Would i be better off cutting this down and focusing on fewer buds.
I know this is probably strain relative (i'm growing snow white if it helps) but can't find any real info so any help would be appreciated

Maybe someone can answer this one.

Had a power outage for 8 out of 12 hours of my light cycle - 3 on in the morn, then 8hrs off, then 1 hr back on before 'lights out'

I wasn't sure what to do, so just went on as if nothing had happened -as in turned lights off as usual.

Was this the right thing to do, or should i have put lights on for another 12hrs.

grinch i would keep the light cycle the same it would just help the plant know its flowering.

My advice when you have power outage in 12/12 is to just call it a night.. Plants measure the dark period, not the light period.. If I lost light for 8 hours, I'd keep the lights off for an extra 4hrs, then start a new day.. If I needed to return to the original schedule, again I'd do it by tinkering with light hours, not the dark ones.. Always give them the dark period they expect to get..

new question. I'm on day 37 of flowering. A couple of weeks ago i removed everything below the canopy since no light etc. At every point i cut i'm getting what looks like 2 new shoots coming out (hoping not balls).
Is this normal? Should i remove them as they grow - which i will do anyway if they are balls?
