Foliar feeding: fact or fiction?
I'm curious to the experience of advanced growers with foliar feeding. Have you conducted, or can you link me to any controlled work that shows a benefit to this?
I'm a first-time MJ grower, but have been gardening for decades and have a 13-year career in botany, as in field identification and community recognition, not detailed physiology. From what I do know of other plants, foliar feeding strikes me as hoakum to boost the sales of nutrient companies. Currently, we have nitrogen and phosphorous raining from the skies from air pollution, yet things seems to grow outdoors more or less as they always have. But, I'm open minded and happy to do anything that will make my girls happy. Thanks!

I would spray a little extreme serene on the bottom side of the leaves about 10 mins before lights on in veg, once a week. They seemed to like it.

Jorge Cervantes in one of his books says that foliar feeding is confusing to the plant.Use it only for short term fixes.....I have not tried it myself....

I do not foliar feed, but I mist my plants with water almost every day until the buds get too big. Based on the low humidity in my room, the plants love it.

I was wondering if you can "over" mist clones? My temps are a little high in the box, so I'm misting quite a bit.

I never mist clones in the dome as I find they root faster if I don't. Just keep the humidity around 50 percent in the dome, water in the tray at all times and you should get roots in 7 days. I use RR and if I see them getting dry I just trickle water on the plugs.
