Default AC hoods. heat reduction diameter/cfm
we just finished out 4800 watts in cool tubes, and a 500 cfm blower. Not entirely impressed with the cooling abilities of the tubes, and the partner is resisting AC. Any viable write ups on heat reduction in relation to cfm? Our buddy hooked us up with a flipper from hydro solutionz so we're going to start back with 9600 watts in 2 rooms. cooling potential of 8" ac hoods over 6" or is it really only a question of air flow?

have you got them daisy chained? someone i saw on these forums wasnt entirely happy with the cooling of his tube setup, so he changed his setup around so each tube had a smaller fan and the 3 lights collected into a common exhaust into the filter, this worked alot better for him, obviously cost him 2 more small fans & some ducting adaptors, but apparently well worth it..

forgive me if i've misunderstood your question..

Thats a pretty small fan to begin with man. 500 cfm? for how many lights? 4800 watts?
I use a 750 cfm for 3 600w lights and I dont think I would add another one. Not with a booster fan on the end or something like that.

I agree, 500 cfm is way too low for 4,800 watts. One book I have recommends 250 cfm per 1,000 watts. I wouldn't go lower than an 8" fan for your setup.

You need a bigger fan. You have a pretty big grow there. I'd see it as a worthy investment to buy a high-end fan for exhaust. You'll do much better if your ducting is ran in parallel rather than in series. And avoid unnecessary lengths and bends.
