Default when to drop the temps to turn purp

when is an approx time to let the temps drop so my ladies will turn purple

Why would you want to do that?

When they get warm and can transfer nutrients the stems will just turn green again. Some do have purple stems but that's just a natural trait of the plant.

You don't want to get them cold man, unless you want to stunt growth for a few weeks. What I have found that works best is a root temp at 70 degrees. I heat them with a seedling mat. Then your Highs around 85 degrees. around 50% humidity and fresh air after they are 5 to 6 inches tall.

a week or 2 of cold temps will do it, also if when you harvest you cut a whole branch off and then stick it in the fridge over night it will purple up real nice, just leave all the leaves on the branches and plop it in the fridge

Well, if I wanted to do that, just get the temperatures all nice and cool when you're flushing, if flushing's your habit. Don't know how cold to bring it too though... Probably wrong, but maybe low 60's for that period of time?

depending on when you harvest try having the dark period temps drop down to 60 for a week or two then the next week put some ice cubes on the soil then flush..

Aren't genetics of the plant the main thing that determines whether you will get purple buds?
I know low temps (65degrees) in the flushing period work but it all depends on the genetics.

Am i wrong?

well i harvested a branch early cuz of spider mites and decided to put it in the fridge overnight to see what effect this has. did it just like u said. but this plant had no purple on it before. dont know if purp was in its genes. i do have two other plants with purp leaves, i will do the same experiment with them.
