if my plant gets too tall and i can't raise the lights any more can i tie down the top of the plant during flowering??

its been in flower for almost 2 weeks and is 26 inches tall and growing 3 inches a day

is this correct??

just tie the main stem below the top-most developed leaves and tie it down to the pail so it's even with the rest of the shoots????

and is this ok to do during flowering i don't want to stress her out any more just transplanted yesterday into a 5 gallon pail and she was kind of root bound ????

when flowering plant will strech generally twice as much and if the sativa genome dominates it will stretch even more. you can tie the plant down anytime you want throughout its life, for all i know you can make the plant go in circles spiriling up, that would take alot if work.
so no you won't stress the plant by tying it down when its in flower. try not desturb it oo much or to brake it. i had that happen to me, but there's nothing to worry about, the plant will recover if its not detached. just bend a piece of wire in a driection you want the stem to go and tie it around with fish line if it happens.

you can tie it down now if you'r afraid that there won't be enough space at all, don't wait until the last moment.

I just wanted to add that at two weeks of 12/12 you are likely near the end of the growth spurt.

I intentionally grow my mothers in a spiral pattern (circle) as it gives lots of shoots and most of them get light. All of this and less than 6" above the rim of the container. There was a guy here a while back that used to tie his main stem into a knot. It looked very bizarre.

just top it at a upper nod....as long as u dont take 60% of the plant down it will be fine and it wont get as tall
