Does anyone have any advice/ Opinions on light movers? I plan on buying a few for my next grow. I figure instead of 2 1000 per 4x8 i can use 1 and double my grow space with same watts. Any brands that are good/ bad? advice?

I was wanting to know too. I got a Double 400w set up (i can run 800w). Right now i have a MH and Hps, but just using the HPS now in my 2 week of flower. every couple days i give them hps and mh, but it gets real warm in the spot. But next time I would like to put 2 Hps In that hood and get a sepereat light to veg. And double in the grow. Where can we get these light movers? And how big of a deal is the instalation?

light movers do not double your lights usuablity it does add maybe 10-20 percent usability but will not double light sorry do a quick search theres another thread with the deatils more so

Light movers can increase yield by 30 percent by being able to add more plants. If you have just one mover, then do not move it longer than the 6 foot rail that comes with it. I would say the max room length for one light is 8 feet. If your room is longer, then you should buy their ‘add a light’ which allows you to run 2 lights on one rail. With a 1000 watt light, and having my grows pretty dialed in, I increased my yield by around 6 oz's in a room that was 7x4.

I run (2) 600 watt lights per 6' rail. I think they are definetly worth the money. They create a bushier plants due to light pentrating the bottom of the plant. Also with some ventilation and a duct fan you can have your light touching the reflector with you lights so low. Even without ventillation you can keep your lights alot closer just cause they are always moving. Dont buy the add a light bar though. Its a rip off. My hydro store wanted 100 bucks for one. I make them for about 6 bucks and a trip to home depot. I'll take some pics of one when my lights kick on in uhhh 6 hours and 20 minutes.
