Default transplanting to smaller pot
So i was originally keeping as a mother plant but due to an abundance of clones intend to flower her, i have very limited space in my flowering tent and she is currently in large pot (11litres i think)

if she was to be put in with the next crop, id need to translplant into the same pots as i'm using for flower (6.5 litre)

As the title suggests, is it possible to translplant a plant just about to go into flower into a smaller pot? if so, what would be the best way to do it? root trimming etc? Any pitfalls or things i should be wary of?

any guidance or advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Don't put in smaller pots, always go bigger, roots need room, otherwise they bunch up and become compacted and will retain too much moisture which will cause root rot, which will ruin your plant.

You can certainly do it. It will require a 2 week shock period. I would transplant it down at least 2 weeks before flowering. Have your container prepared with your growing medium before unpotting from the large container. Most transplants involve keeping the root system intact but since you are downsizing that won't be possible. This project will be easier if the growing medium is pretty dry. Turn the pot upside down and give a couple hard bangs to the bottom of the container. The plant and the root system should loosen and come out. Start by loosening the grow medium around the sides and work your way in toward the center of the root mass. You will pobably have to cut away some of the root mass. It is okay, it is just a weed. Be sure to sterilize your scissors before any cutting. Once thr roots are a more manageable volume, repot as you normally would when upsizing. Water it in well and allow for 2 weeks for recovering before triggering your flower cycle.
