ok so im plaining on using the scrog method....ive been growing since about october.....but have yet to harvest any bud yet...not because of failures...but i have a bounce of males...and i have a mother but she now died..and i have 5 beautiful female clones veging in my ebb and flow under a 400 watt mh.....i want to build a screen and scrog them...the dimensions will be 3 feet by 2 feet.....and my screen will be about 8 ins from the medium......i have a 400 watt hps im goin to throw in there for flowering....my questions are:

1. should i veg with the screen or should i put the screen on when i start to flower??
2. should i even use a screen for my grow? i really enjoy topping and maintainin the plants...thats why i want to scrog...
3. will it improve my yeild??

If you enjoy maintaining your plants and are able to do so about everyday then i say scrog them.
Remember that this will take longer because you want to veg until the screen is about 70% full and then flower, but the screen will fill up with buds and definately increase your yield.
Veg is when all the fun is with training the branches to grow outwards, flowering you just wait and watch.

so im goin to need to let the clones grow until there a little above the screen and just pull the branches out wards where i want them to grow....and when my screen is 70% full flower.....do i really need a bud sight in every hole? or will that work its self out??? another question is...should i use poultry netting or chicken wire like i saw that u used in your grow??

Yep, you got it! Once a branch reaches up enough over the screen or net, simply push it back down and onto the next spot. It doesnt matter what you use for a screen as long as it doesnt block the light.
With a nice and even canopy, you are able to get your lights up close to those buds.
