I have been thinking about adding c02 to my garden. I was gonna use a gallon jug, water, sugar, and yeast. My question is do I need to add an air pump? Whats the best way to get the c02 to my plants keeping in mind it's heavier then oxygen? Does anyone know how much water, sugar, and yeast should be used in a gallon jug?

Do what I did and brew your own hooch , the fermentation is the same as what you mentioned. Look up how to brew your own mead on-line, it tells you how -to step by step. it's really easy and you kill 2 birds with one stone, the plants get co2 and after 2 months you get your own home brew.

That's a sweet ass idea.

1 tbs yeast + 2 tbs sugar / 1l water. Adding an air pump will be very useful, since a lot of co2 just diffuses in the water.

This setup is good for 4 plants and will last about 2 weeks, then it needs to be changed.

I have 5 big ass bushes. Should I double the ingredients? I figured an air up would help, but how to rig this all up is another question. . . . Thank you

Just use 2 1l containers or 1 2l container with double the ingredients.

I personally would go with 2 containers in order to guarantee an even amount of co2 in the air. But if you have a tight space (under 9 square meters) a single container will do fine.

I have no real idea about the ppm, but i've read that a co2 generator like this one will triple the amount of co2 in a 2 sqr m space even with a good ventilation.
