as far as topping and pruning goes .. I top the plants only once in their lifetime, 1 week into the flowering stage so that two decent size buds emerge at the tops.. I prune only as needed during veg (getting rid of leaves that have gone bad and/or not getting any light at the bottom) and then cut off entire lower branches at the beginning of the flowering stage so the plant can use most of its sugars to give the begininning of bud production a boost.

NEVER!!!!!! If you cut down the plant to the ground it is DEAD!!! Pinch the top early at the 4th stage of leaves above the primary round ones and you will get 8 branches , then pinch again 4 stages up on new branches to get a million branches. If you want it to stay low tie the new braches down parallel to the ground and your side branches will grow up toward the sun, making hundreds of colas on one plant. marijuana cannot grow from a stub like a celery plant does or a forsythia yard plant does, EVER!!!! It must have some kind of green growth. NEVER PICH DURING BUDDING OR FOR THE 6 WEEKS BEFORE BUDDING. This removes the buildup of hormones that make buds and you only delay the buds from growing properly

if your growing outdoors or in soil I can understand the strong root system.. But indoors with ideal conditions my plants and roots flourished. Guess hydro is the way to go..Could it also take alot of stress off the roots not having to hold the plant up or attatch to anything?
