if i put root hormone around the base of my plant and put more soil in the pot will more roots grow up the stem?

yeah,even if you did not bother with the hormone it would still grow roots,i do this with my seedlings/clones that are leggy so the 1st nodes are closer to the soil.make the plant more short and bush like.

i did it.

they all have huge roots new root now.

if you want more roots, put a little hormone around the stump.
